Grief

Hands clap together
So cold
White
Clammy

The crunch of leaves
Beneath covered feet
Moving
Through the trees

Thick mist
Faded trees
Faded
Colorless

The gray fades
to white or black
Around the cold branches
Trees in the mist

Crunching leaves
White cold hands
Clasping, wringing
Sniffing, sobbing

Silence

(an attempt to create a person symbolizing an emotion)

  1. That is beautiful; it sounds like an autumn funeral. And silence is such a huge part of grief: Silence from yourself, from others and from no longer speaking to the person you loved while here still in this life. Thank you for sharing!
